Jacqui Alexander is a Senior Lecturer in Architecture, and Director of Alexander & Sheridan Architecture.

Alexander & Sheridan Architecture adopts an expanded approach to architectural practice which includes the design and delivery of buildings, speculative design and research, teaching, and the dissemination of architectural ideas through exhibitions, publications, lectures, and public broadcasting. In 2021, Alexander & Sheridan Architecture was awarded the Emerging Architects' Prize at the Victorian Architecture Awards.

Jacqui's current research explores the relationship between architecture, media and technology, contemporary culture and politics. Jacqui is a founding editor of Melbourne and Paris-based independent architecture journal POST Magazine, which won the 2009 Bates Smart Award for Architecture in the Media (VIC). POST Magazine has toured globally as part of the Archizines exhibition, having been shown at leading design venues including The Vitra Design Museum, The Victoria and Albert Museum London, GTA Exhibitions at the ETH Zurich, the RMIT Design Hub, and The National Gallery of Victoria. Jacqui's PhD research explores the impacts of emerging platform technologies on the built environment. Recent works include the Supershared installation in collaboration with Sibling Architecture for RMIT Design Hub's Occupied exhibition (2016); and Tenancy ≠ Title (2020) which was shortlisted in the 2021 ArchitectureAU Unbuilt Prize. In 2020 Jacqui was an inaugural recipient of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Australia Council for the Arts Top 5 Arts Residency where she developed architectural content in her area of expertise for a range of ABC platforms.
