Bar

The Bar was designed and made for use in the Monash Architecture department as an activator of social events.

The bar is made in four modules of two separate sizes, each being on lockable castors that allow the bar to be moved into different locations and arranged in a variety of configurations. Each module also has an adjustable canopy made from translucent fibre glass that can be lit up with festoon lighting.

Students worked on all aspects of the project including the design, sourcing materials, welding steel frames, and making the timber joinery. The main cladding on the front of the bar was all reclaimed from the department's material reuse centre on F3.
