Sara is Assistant Lecturer, Design History and Theory. She holds a PhD in Design from Monash University, which she completed in the Emerging Technologies Research Lab. Sara’s project questioned assumptions about the air-conditioned workplace and how these could be revealed through the acts of dressing for work. Her research involves exploring blended practice approaches in design including design anthropological and sensory ethnographic approaches. Sara holds a Masters of Education from Monash University on the value of art in Australia and its impact on tertiary art education, and undertook undergraduate degrees in fine arts, anthropology/archaeology from Auckland University and the University of Otago respectively.
