Snugglepot & Cuddlepie Are Gay!
Join us for an exhibition by PhD Candidate Mathew Jones Snugglepot & Cuddlepie Are Gay!
As explained by Mathew: Taking recent suggestion that May Gibbs’ 1918 childrens’ classic is ‘queerly contemporary,’ Jones proposes it is not the eponymous boys (kissing and cuddling and constantly presenting their bare buttocks to everyone) who are Gay, but the Banksia Men with their unbridled non-reproductive sexuality and fervent opposition to Children as the Future.
In line with Victoria's Roadmap , all staff, students and visitors, including contractors, who attend our Australian campuses or other University locations (such as offices) will be required to have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Please be prepared to provide proof of vaccination or medical exemption on arrival to this event and you will need to wear a mask inside. You must not come to campus if you're unwell or if you are a household contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
