Seepage: On Eye Floaters and Drains' explores what it might mean to make art guided by eye floaters. Through the practice-based artistic research, Anatol develops ‘the floater’ as a visual metaphor to structure my interpretation of his grandfather’s home movies of water drains. It is based on his visual experience of having eye floaters, a distraction that both can’t be escaped nor seen clearly. His artistic research for this project explores how to represent the floater, and how it guides how a way of bringing together drainage infrastructure, climate change, technological perception, waterways and family history.
