State Design Book University Showcase
Join us at Monash Art, Design and Architecture for the State Design Book University Showcase.
The State Design Book has been developed by the Victorian Government Department of Transport and Planning to promote high-quality medium-density housing demonstrating the design principles underpinning the Great Design Fast Track. Part 3 of the State Design Book showcases the breadth of design and research into new housing models being undertaken within Victorian universities.
The projects featured in the book imagine new, future-focused ways of designing liveable homes and precincts.
They explore numerous aspects of housing delivery and propose creative approaches – including modern methods of construction, baugruppen (community-led housing development), and community land trusts – to overcome the challenge of moving from great ideas to great homes.
The roaming exhibition will be held at:
Monash University: 3 – 20 August
Deakin University: 24 August – 11 September
Swinburne University of Technology: 15 – 29 September
University of Melbourne: 1 – 16 October
