Zhuosi Lai is an Lecturer in Communication Design at MADA (Monash Art, Design, and Architecture) and a researcher specializing in interaction design, user experiences, and the intersection of technology and public spaces.

Currently, Zhuosi serves as a Unit Coordinator for UX/UI subjects, where she coordinates and teaches studio-based units focusing on user experience (UX) design, human-computer interaction (HCI), and digital-cultural engagement. Her teaching approach aims accessibility and inclusivity, fostering critical discussions on the role of design in shaping cultural and public spaces.

Her research explores how interaction design can enhance engagement in Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM) sectors, with a particular focus on hybrid and virtual experiences. She investigates the role of digital accessibility, and hybrid-reality interactions in fostering deeper connections between remote and on-site visitors. As part of her PhD at the University of Sydney, she examines strategies for making cultural spaces more resilient, accessible, and interconnected through digital interventions.
