Dr Mutian Niu
Dr Mutian Niu is a lecturer in the Master of Industrial Design program at Monash University’s Suzhou campus. This program offers a double Masters degree jointly delivered by MADA and Southeast University in China.
As a researcher and designer, Mutian works at the intersection of Art, Design, and Technology. She received her Ph.D. and Masters in Industrial Design from the University of Liverpool. As a lecturer and research fellow at the Monash University, her major research interests are Material Perception, Virtual Reality, and User Experience-Driven Design. She has published works in the field of Material Perception, Virtual Reality, Embodied Cognition, and Design Visualisation.
