Dr Robin Hely
Dr Robin Hely is a Lecturer and Unit Coordinator in the Department of Design at Monash University.
Since 2005, he has developed dynamic curriculum content for undergraduate and Master’s students, blending theory, practical skills, and hands-on film production experience. Known for creating engaging and insightful classes, he ensures the curriculum remains aligned with technological advancements.
Outside teaching, he has produced a 360 VR film (2019), a feature film (2013), Indigenous documentaries (2001–2016), and interactive theatre works (2005–2009). He is currently exploring collaborations between generative AI programmers and filmmakers, integrating emerging technologies into his practice.
