Connecting communities: the design and production of effective and inclusive mobility in response to rapid growth urban sprawl for women and minoritised community members.

Extending from Isabella's involvement with the Monash University XYX Lab and her work on 'Tramlab: Improving The Safety Of Women And Girls On Public Transport' (2019-2022), this project's focus is to increase the understanding of the intersection between cultural, socio-economic and spatial factors concerning gender and other intersectional identity factors relating to experiences of active and public transport. This research project will contribute foundational knowledge for women and minoritised people in varying localities and communities within urban sprawl areas. The aim is to centre the needs, challenges and aspirations of women and marginalised community members for greater social, economic and physical inclusion in active and public transport settings and encourage rethinking practices, both in process and product.
