Night Market Bridge

The studio will analyse contemporary market places and phenomenon to propose a live exchange area, overlapping commercial and cultural programs, over the existing infrastructure of Sandridge Bridge.

We will explore commercial and cultural activity studying the contemporary shopping mall, the supermarket phenomenon and mapping change in market events like at Queen Victoria Market. The context analysis will relate The Sandridge Bridge infrastructure with Southbank new and increasing population, explore alternatives to connect and traverse Flinders Street railway station and link with Melbourne CBD

The studio aims to propose an innovative public space program, an architectural project about alternation, to transform Sandridge Bridge in a place of transition, intersection and or disruption
