Set in the year 2051, this studio will challenge the aged care typology through first providing insights into current health and aged care environments and encouraging stu-dents to analyse trends in international precedents that can be applied to a future Melbourne. As the number of people aged 65 and over in Victoria is likely to triple by 2051, stu-dents will be required to envisage this reality and question the impacts. Through a series of small scale, fragmented studies, students will reconsider the typology of residential aged care in a high density, inclusive future neighbourhood.
