This title sequence features the movie Pillow Talk, which is a romantic comedy from 1959 in the style of Mid-century Modern. It tells the love story of Jan Morrow (Doris Day), an interior decorator and Brad Allen (Rock Hudson), a womanizing composer, who share a telephone party line.
This animation is inspired by the ambient iconic colors and sleek geometric shapes of Mid-century Modern, Hollywood Regency interior design and fashion design of the 1950s.
