Annelise Turco
Hello there! My name is Annelise Turco, I am an illustrator and graphic designer based in Melbourne.
I love to work with colour and contrast, making this a consistent characteristic throughout my work. Publications and illustrations are my most favourable projects.
About the project
How do people respond to the unfunctional in a Public space? Do we conform and reflect how others behave when we are watched, or know we are in public? Would the response change if the unfunctional object/project was not in a public space? The unfunctional is when something (object/typography) is not related directly to or fitted for everyday needs (or activities). It often serves some other purpose than a practical one and can be found in both private and public spaces. It is not dysfunctional as it can functional normally- but a state of change has made it temporarily unfunctional. This book explores the UNfunctional.
