Mikaela Brand, The Australian Recycling Crisis, Publication
Each week Australians think that they are benefiting the environment by placing all of their 'recyclable' items in a bin on the curb for collection. However, in reality this is far from the truth; the majority of it ends up being burnt, buried, added to landfill or sent overseas instead of being recycled into new materials. This project aims to expose the misinformation surrounding Australia's recycling scheme and to provide some actionable ways to begin combating it.
