Amy Jane Parker
Amy Jane Parker (born 1990, so-called Melbourne) is an artist currently working from the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri and Boon wurrung people's of the Kulin nation.
Her sculptural practice, hinged upon material and allegory at once, considers how affective energies are passed between and indexed within earthly matter, or rather, how sentiment becomes sediment.
Recent solo exhibitions include phrasal breaches, Firstdraft (2018), elslelslelslelslelslelslelslelslelslelslelslelslelse (running else) at Punk Café (2017) and blank verse at TCB Art inc. (2017). Amy is currently working with Brighid Fitzgerald to realise 'whorled' — a group presentation of sculpture and poetry held within a glass dome during the Hobiennale in November.
