Zara Sully
When you are a child, you are naïve and unaware of the gendered expectations you are yet to face, and at this fresh stage in your life, you are often gifted a duck. This yellow duck is non-gendered, a commonality of a toy collectively gifted to all genders. I am reclaiming and redefining the definition of a clichéd object, announcingthat the bath toy duck is queer.
Big Duck Energy is an exploration of contemporary experiences of sexuality and gender, through the motif of the bath toy duck, and uses drag as methodology.
