Georgia Crespin
Paying homage to the traditional processes of printing black and white film photography, Georgia Crespin’s work investigates a more unconventional depiction of presenting images. Each censored section is handmade, aiming to toy at today’s newly adapted mentality towards seeing the full picture. Its this refusal that one asks as to why they are being refused.
The accessibility of information in the modern world is instantaneous, conditioning one to feel a sense of entitlement to knowing all the facts. These two prints aim to challenge that, creating an exclamation over the whited-out box, leaving the viewer to fill in the blank.
