My work is intuitively driven by materiality and the site of presentation. Sculptural installations disrupt the environment they inhabit, engaging and affecting the viewer. I am interested in using mostly found objects to create my work including black t-shirts, chrome fixtures, wax, hinges, branches, tubing, cotton twine and hooks. This allows me to shift and transform what is familiar to create a sense of unease. Some sculptures are delicate or heavily process driven, and others are quickly formed gestures. They vary in presenting as either a hint or a great mass allowing the viewer to become overwhelmed or curious.
