About this work
Embrace is a knee brace that is used to assist with the recovery of ACL tears as well as providing later support for the later stages of the healing process. Embrace brings together technology, Mass customisation and sturdiness to create a Brace that is individual to each person. Using 3D scanning to gather dimensions specific to each patient to ensure a streamline and correct fit. Once dimensions are collected the brace is moulded to the patients knee, providing a snug and supportive fit. Using a combination of carefully selected materials including 2mm acrylic as well as neoprene to form a unique and individual fit Embrace really is made for the patient.
Who am I
Lawrence is a designer who aims to use his design knowledge to try and make positive change. Specialising in Cad modelling software including Solidworks and Autocad he aims to connect the world of product manufacturing and sustainable materials.
