I am a multidisciplinary designer who pushes boundaries for the benefit of the user. I created Eminence to answer, “How can the standing frame used by people with Cerebral Palsy be designed for use in the home environment?”. Eminence is a sit to stand assistance device for young people aged 13 to 19 who have cerebral palsy. The device integrates into the home living environment as the average living room chair which can be used by anyone in the house hold. There is also the opportunity to relocate the device in the house by the users choice. This consider the physical health of the individual sharing the experience with other people in the house hold.
