The Last Bird is an allegorical film that explores feelings of being consumed within an industrially engineered environment and alienated from the natural world. I am objectively interested in investigating and questioning the modes of operating, living and knowing within such environments. Working with hand drawn animation to create moods of displacement and temporal distortion, the video depicts different scenes, styles of mark-making, connecting disparate places and characters; tracing ambiguities and proposing fragile possibilities for reconnection.
