Linqian Chen

Hey, my name is Linqian Chen or you can also call me Dorothy. I initially learned art from high school, including drawing, landscape sketching and gouache painting. Therefore, I decided to study design professionally at university and graduated from Southeast University in my hometown with a major in architectural animation. Due to my appreciation of architecture, I went to many countries and opened my vision during the vacation. Finally, I came to Australia for further education, and now I am studying interaction design at Monash University. Melbourne is a city full of artistic atmosphere. Multicultural environment, interesting friends from different majors have brought me inspiration in design. Now I am about to work around my graduate degree.

Linqian Chen, Weather App

This is an outdoor themed weather forecast mobile application. In terms of color, I chose blue to convey freshness to users. Australia’s natural scenery makes people love outdoor sports such as mountain climbing, biking, hiking, skiing, etc. Therefore, in combination with the user’s current location information, relevant landscape photos are selected for the background of the homepage. In addition to displaying the local temperature, it will also recommend related sports suitable for the destination to the users.

Linqian Chen, Music Festival App

This is an application made for the local pop music festivals. Due to the huge audience, holding a large music festival requires a lot of preparation in advance. In this application, the audience can buy tickets for the first time and then get information about the upcoming event. Such as artists, song lists, travel guides, venue maps, snacks and beverages sold at the event and related peripheral gifts. If there is an emergency at the event, the audience can also seek first-aid rescue in the app. After the event, audience can share their performance experience with everyone in the social section. Linqian Chen, Energy Dashboard App/Desktop

This is the dashboard of Unicorn Energy for SenjaMall shopping center that contains two versions, desktop for building manager and app for tenants. Desktop dashboard presents detailed energy profiles through data visualization. Building managers can select dates to monitor the daily, weekly, and monthly energy usage and the influence of temperature on usage. If a merchant’s recent energy usage is abnormal, the system will automatically remind the building manager. App uses a simple interface to show tenants daily, weekly, and monthly usage and expenses.
