Vaidehi Bhujbal, How Do I Grow?: A visual research
Two child-like drawn posters are presented here. They show the impact of gender biased toy design on the cognitive development of kids. The data here was gathered through field study of favourite toys of participating kids. Here a simple example of a favourite toy between a girl and boy shows a stark difference in their development.
This difference is being studied to not only impact the career choices that kids make when they grow up but also how it leads to gender misrepresentation in the industry.
