Pengyue Liu, Bunny Bank, Scar and Sticky Notes. Short Animated Film
It is an animated short film based on personal experience. Using hand-drawing, frame-by-frame animation and motion graphics techniques to complete. I first drew the line works for each frame, then added colors and texture in Photoshop, and finally arranged all the scenes in After Effect.
Bunny Bank, Scar and Sticky Notes represent three experiences of being bullied. I have experienced school bullying more than once when I grow up. These experiences made me hated my female identity.
Therefore, the intention of making this animation is to encourage people who have been bullied could say no to bullying bravely, accept the way they are and love themselves courageously.
Pengyue Liu, Titles for Digital Channel 'Sound Stage'
Sound Stage, the streaming TV show who has focused primarily on music, airing documentaries and live concerts, interviews with musicians, and shows that give critics a platform to expound at length on some of the greats. The target audience mainly focuses on teenagers from 16 to 20 who have a passion for music. The theme of this episode of the show I made for the opening title is rock and live music, so I operated a rough illustration style and strong contrasting saturated colors to work with the temperament of rock and roll music.
Pengyue Liu, Victoria Zoo AR Poster Lioness Mythology
This project aims to create an augmented reality poster for Victoria Zoo. This educational poster is designed to let the children learn about the little-known and engaging stories behind animals through visual design. My poster introduce the Tefnut, the lioness goddess in ancient Egyptian mythology. I borrowed the style and color of ancient Egyptian murals to simulate mythological stories on stone pillars that were usually used by ancient Egyptians to record history. I expect this story could teach children not to give up hope no matter how difficult the situation is.
