Pei-Chi (Maggie) Cheng, 'HOME'
Medium: Co-making workshops
Home introduces an unique approach to storytelling and knowledge sharing through a series of collaborative workshops. The project aims to reveal and share personal narratives by engaging participants in co-making activities. It delves into the exploration of creating a personal practice that not only draws from personal experiences but also embraces the diverse experiences of others. The project has developed a co-making process that emphasises learning from others by making together. This project also centred around The Social Studio.
Pei-Chi (Maggie) Cheng, 'ByJango - BOSEM perfume'
Bosem’s design concept is based on the skin colour tone, which is related to byJango’s key concept idea -- neutral, cool, and warm. And I am doing “cool”, so my colour palettes are all based on colours suitable for cool skin tone people. The first two alphabets of the perfume name “Bosem” have similar pronunciations in Mandarin and Korean. In Mandarin, there’s a word called 包含, and in Korean, there’s also a word called 포함; they both share an incredible meaning which is “include” upon this significant meaning, I want to have further development on it. To create a perfume that makes people feel inclusive and included anywhere, anytime, any moment.
Pei-Chi (Maggie) Cheng, 'BOSEM perfume pop-up store'
For this collection, byJango delivers a brand new concept inspired by nature and basic elements around our daily life - ice, rock, and sun. Based on fundamental human skin colour tones - cool, neutral, and warm, we create these environments for customers to interact with. Three caves have three totally different nature vibes. Those spaces will include different scents, backgrounds, and colours.
We aim to include sensory design in this space. In addition, using timber and green elements create a natural environment for the first impression, symbolising the spirit of the BOSEM collection.
Pei-Chi (Maggie) Cheng, 'Everyday Objects'
In this project, designers are supposed to utilise the techniques learned from the past few weeks to create an animation. Designers can choose any objects they will use in their daily life or something existing in their room. Through the discussion with the client to get approval from him, we can proceed to the next step of the design process.
