we designed to use ultrasound to provide feedback on the density of crowds in the block, and use the interaction between sound and crowds to let the visually-impaired know the crowd in the block, which is more conducive to them to familiarize themselves with the surrounding environment. Our devices aren't just limited to low vision people. We intend to use the device to simulate the experience of the visually-impaired, that is, normal people use the device to experience the life of the visually-impaired when they lose their vision.
Bin(Eddie) Xie, closet organizing robot
I interviewed eight interviewees who are engaged in different jobs and
professions, and learned that they are all more or less troubled by the daily
behavior of tidying up their closets. During the interview, I
also learned that the organized wardrobe will give them a sense of
accomplishment, and feel comfortable and convenient, because they can
clearly know what clothes they have and how they can match their outfits. So
design a robot that can help organize the closet, help divide the area in the
closet and help fold clothes, manage the closet, and can also adjust and
control the closet according to the needs of users.
Bin(Eddie) Xie, BubbleZone App
We interviewed eight students at Monash to understand their feelings about personal space on campus, and got three conclusions. Based on the conclusions, we gave feasible suggestions, and learned that students feel that there is a lack of personal space on the Monash campus, so we think that instead of increasing the actual space , it is better to design a software that allows students to create personal space without time and space constraints, and at the same time intersperse the information of Monash Support Service in the app to let students understand.
