Advaith Menon
Today, I bring both worlds together — blending physical sensibility with interface design to create thoughtful, intuitive experiences. My mission is to bridge the gap between physical and digital design, always keeping users at the centre while delivering accessible, elegant, and purposeful solutions that stand out.

Advaith Menon, Rewind: Presentation Board
Rewind is an AI voice note app that helps you give better gifts. Whenever a friend or loved one mentions something they like, just say “Hey Rewind” and record it. The app saves these notes to their profile—so when a birthday or special occasion comes up, you’ll have a personalised list of gift ideas ready. Rewind can also remind you of important dates and use AI to suggest gifts based on the person's likes (and dislikes), complete with links to purchase. No more last-minute guessing—just thoughtful, memorable gifts that show you’ve been paying attention.
Advaith Menon, Hydr8 Water Tracking App
Hydr8 is a smart water bottle company that needed an app to track user hydration. I designed a user-centred experience inspired by a Polynesian voyage—starting at 0 litres and sailing through vibrant oceans toward your daily goal. As you hit milestones, encounter ocean creatures like turtles, whales, and stingrays. The aim is to make staying hydrated fun and culturally rich, drawing from Polynesian water-loving traditions. The app includes a history tab to view past intake and streaks, plus a goal-setting feature to adjust your daily “voyage” length based on how much water you want to drink.
Advaith Menon, Splitwise: A Redesign Case Study
I analysed the popular expense-splitting app Splitwise to identify design flaws and opportunities for improvement. Through visual analysis, user research, and competitor review, I uncovered key issues: an outdated interface, inaccessible colour schemes, and unintuitive core features. My redesign modernised the app with a focus on usability—improving visual hierarchy and streamlining the main expense-splitting function. I also introduced new features like quick slide-to-settle interactions and recurring payments, creating a more accessible and efficient user experience overall.
Advaith Menon, CoLab: UI Display
For my capstone project, I co-developed a vision for at-home routine X-ray scans using a portable scanner and companion app. The app guides users through scans, sends results to their doctor’s portal, and enables specialists to review, compare, and respond with notes, prescriptions, or advice. Patients can access and manage all scans on their phone, supporting better understanding through doctor communication. AI checks scan quality, tracks healing progress, and integrates medical notes into hospital systems. This service reduces pressure on healthcare providers while improving access for rural patients and those with mobility challenges.
Advaith Menon, CoLab: CoScanner Display
While the app and doctor portal drive the service, it’s all made possible by the CoScanner—an innovative, miniaturised X-ray device designed for safe home use. Key features include an onboard screen that mirrors the app for phone-free operation, a wireless X-ray receiver pad, a push-trigger to prevent misfires, a rear radiation shield, and a tripod mount for hands-free or hard-to-reach scans. All components are stored in a smart case that charges and UV-cleans the device. The case is delivered to the patient’s door and collected once healing is complete, offering a seamless, user-friendly experience from start to finish.
