Wanying Chen, AI QVM Information Desk
This is a team project that design for the Queen Victoria Market (QVM) guidance. It is mainly for travellers or people who are first time going to the QVM. We concentrate on the spatial guidance needs of traditional markets, and participated in the planning of movement routes and the optimisation of visual design. The classic colour match of red, yellow and blue is obvious to travellers from different age groups. We find a balance between functionality and the atmosphere of the market, and created an intuitive and friendly way-finding experience.
Wanying Chen, Greenway
This is a team project in Prato, Italy. Throughout Prato, the main public areas are influenced by the presence of different age groups at various times of the day. To address this dividing "social rhythm," we aim to develop the centre as a welcoming space for everyone. Our goal is to encourage community interaction, collaboration, and progress within this beautiful historical city. I primarily focused on the website development aspect of this project.
Wanying Chen, Redesign Project
The project focuses on redesigning a website that lacks UX consideration. The website I chose is Suzanne Collins' website. I aim to redesign the website to make it consistent with Suzanne Collins' identity as a writer and the influence of her works due to these problems. A more modern visual style will be introduced, changing the current colour of the website, clear layouts, and high-resolution images to highlight the core works.
Wanying Chen, Smart Water App
I wish that the Ul interface l made can be playful, like a game with daily activities. Every time the users reach a drinking goal, they can get an "achievement card", which can be exchanged for gifts after reaching a certain number. In this way, users are willing to use and recommend this software to others. At the same time, it can be more professional and can motivate users to develop a good habit of drinking water by using the alarm in the app. The target users are young people, and it can establish a communication community and provide a platform for sharing health-related knowledge.
Wanying Chen, 'Orbital Mechanics'
This video showcases the artwork of Orbital Mechanics. It is an artwork from the exhibition Biennale Arte 2024. The textiles in the installation showcase an abstract pattern of intercultural DNA sequences that represent a global connection within the Black Atlantic.
