Xinyi Xie, 'Item Modeling Project_Guitar'

This is a 3D hard-surface modeling project created in Autodesk Maya, focusing on an electric guitar. The model emphasizes realistic proportions, detailed components, and accurate materials. Key parts such as the pickups, bridge, strings, knobs, and tuning pegs were modeled individually to ensure a high level of authenticity.

This project is a character acting and animation study developed in Autodesk Maya, focusing on emotional storytelling through body language. The narrative follows a girl waiting for her friend in a vibrant street setting. The sequence showcases her rising impatience and eventual anger when the appointment is canceled.

Xinyi Xie, Amazon Homepage Redesign_Enhancing Navigation and Personalization

This UX/UI redesign project reimagines the Amazon homepage with a focus on improving navigation clarity, visual hierarchy, and personalized user experiences.
Through user interviews, persona development, and pain point analysis, the project identifies key usability issues in the original layout—such as overcrowded content, unclear categorization, and weak browsing motivation.
