Rong Chen, Rhythm of Days

This project takes music and retro players as its main theme, reinterpreting the weather and timer applications.
The overall design combines retro colors, minimalist layouts, and musical elements to create a nostalgic and slow-paced atmosphere. The aim is to transform functional apps into daily experiences that not only deliver information but also bring mood regulation and inspiration for focus.

Rong Chen, Timeless Impressions

Timeless Impressions is a promotional mobile application designed for the special exhibition, featuring five renowned ukiyo-e artists across different historical periods.
The visual design draws inspiration from the aesthetics of wabi-sabi and Japanese minimalism, capturing the serene imperfection and quiet beauty found in traditional woodblock prints.
The interface embraces soft neutral tones, subtle textures, and balanced compositions to echo the refined restraint of ukiyo-e art. Navigation flows gently like the rhythm of brushstrokes, guiding users through artist profiles, collections, and print purchases in an intuitive and contemplative manner.

Focus Fisher is an illustration-style app that helps users stay focused using the Pomodoro Technique. It creates an immersive experience for both focus and break times. By using fishing as a form of positive feedback and collectible elements, it adds a playful, game-like touch to time management.

Rainbow Spirit Festival is a conceptual identity design project inspired by music, art, and vibrant communities. This project showcases logo design, brand graphics, typography, and event applications.

Rong Chen, # Ending Poverty

This project presents a motion promo exploring the global issue of extreme poverty, with a focus on raising awareness and emotional engagement through visual storytelling.
Using clean geometric forms and human-centered data visualization, the animation unfolds the reality behind poverty statistics, delivering a message of shared responsibility and hope.
