For the opening title sequence of Throne of the Golden Savannah, my design approach focuses on creating a strong visual mood through minimal graphic forms, bold contrast, and symbolic imagery rather than detailed realism. I wanted the sequence to feel ancient, powerful, and mysterious, so I developed a red, black, and gold visual language inspired by heat, sand, shadow, royalty, trade, and religion in the Mali Empire. My aim is to communicate the atmosphere of wealth, power, knowledge, and political tension through simple but striking compositions.
