‘The silk and the storms’ is a motion design opening sequence inspired by Zheng He’s voyages during the Ming Dynasty. Through cinematic visuals and symbolic imagery, the project reinterprets the maritime exploration, international trade and cultural exchange along the Maritime Silk Road. Combining historical research, visual storytelling, motion graphics and atmospheric animation, this opening sequence creates a captivating introduction that captures both the grand scale of Zheng He’s voyages and their cultural significance.

Luqi Ke, The Warmth of Memories (Emotional Motion Design )
The Warmth of Memory is a cinematic short film that explores the emotional bonds between memory, family and a sense of belonging. Inspired by the experience of studying abroad, the story follows a young student as they live independently and adapt to a new environment. Through everyday moments such as cooking, studying and living alone, memories of family gradually resurface. Using visual storytelling, colour contrasts and atmospheric animation, the film explores how ordinary experiences can trigger powerful memories and allow us to relive the warmth of home.
