Sukriti Mehra, Multimedia Showreel
This showreel brings together a selection of projects completed throughout my Master of Design, showcasing my interests in motion design, visual storytelling, branding, and multimedia experiences. The featured works include title sequence design, animation, video editing, brand identity projects, 3D visualisation, and digital design outcomes. Across each project, I explore how design can communicate ideas, evoke emotion, and create engaging user experiences. Together, these works reflect my creative process, technical skills, and passion for crafting meaningful visual narratives across different mediums.
Sukriti Mehra, The Little Light
The Little Light is a short animated film about empathy, human connection, and the impact of small acts of kindness. The story follows a withdrawn university student who moves through daily life emotionally disconnected from the people around him. After receiving an unexpected act of kindness from a child on a cold evening, he begins to see the world differently and gradually reconnects with those around him. Combining visual storytelling, character design, storyboarding, and animation, the project explores how simple everyday interactions can create meaningful change.
Sukriti Mehra, The Silk & The Storm
The Silk & the Storm is a title sequence concept for a fictional historical drama inspired by Admiral Zheng He’s voyages during the Ming Dynasty. Using a limited palette of black and red, the sequence explores the relationship between trade, power, exploration, and the forces of nature. Inspired by traditional Chinese ink painting and cinematic title design, the visuals transition between maps, silk, treasure ships, diplomatic exchanges, and stormy seas. The project combines historical research, motion design, storyboarding, and typography to create a dramatic opening that reflects both the ambition and fragility of an empire.
Sukriti Mehra, Performance Review
Performance Review is a short narrative film about an artist navigating the routines and expectations of corporate life. Through visual storytelling, cinematography, editing, and sound design, it reflects on identity, ambition, and the quiet compromises people make in pursuit of stability. Rather than focusing on the workplace itself, the film examines the tension between who we are and who we feel expected to be, capturing a journey familiar to many creatives entering corporate environments.
Sukriti Mehra, Bauhaus 3D Model
Bauhaus 3D Exploration is a 3D modelling project inspired by the principles of the Bauhaus movement, which emphasised simplicity, functionality, and the use of geometric forms. Created using digital 3D software, the project explores the relationship between shape, colour, composition, and space through a series of abstract architectural and product-inspired forms. Drawing from the Bauhaus philosophy of combining art, craft, and technology, the work focuses on clean lines, primary colours, and balanced structures while experimenting with lighting, materials, and rendering techniques to create visually striking compositions.
Sukriti Mehra, Rainbow Spirit Festival - Brand Identity
Rainbow Spirit Festival is a brand identity project created for Rainbow Spirit Festival, a celebration of First Nations culture, music, arts, and community. The project involved developing a visual identity system that reflected the festival’s values of connection, inclusivity, creativity, and cultural storytelling. Through logo design, colour palette development, typography selection, and brand applications, I explored how visual elements can communicate a festival’s unique personality while remaining flexible across digital and print touch points. The final identity aimed to create a vibrant and welcoming brand that celebrates community and cultural expression.
