Dr Galina Polekhina has recently joined the Transfusion Research Unit and is one of the main data analysts with the ASPREE trial. She was awarded a PhD in Biochemistry by Aarhus University (Denmark) and a Master of Biostatistics by the University of Melbourne. Prior to working as a biostatistician she was a postdoctoral researcher at St Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research and later a Lab Head at Monash (now Hudson) Institute of Medical Research. Over the years, she has held a number of grants and Fellowships funded by NHMRC and ARC.
