There are your arms and legs (especially in handover!!! Highlight the “must do” items!! This saved my day!!!) 3. Pocket size notepad. 📝
Write down medications 💊that you had never seen before(you may learn tons of meds!)~Jot down new terms and new things !!!
4. Nurse watch.🕰
Vitals again.(RR & Pulse). Time is important. You don’t wanna miss your tea time to refill your energy.
5. Hand sanitizer. (Optional). Actually they are everywhere, but in case you need it. 🤲🏼5 moments 7 steps~ you know what to do.🤞🏼
6. Pen light. (Optional). PEARL~
7. Candies or sweets. (Optional) brain 🧠 needs sugar.
8. A clear mind and your initiative.
This is how I survived for 9 days.

Third year med student and social media ambassador Callum shares a highlight from the AMSA Global Health Conference last month:
"As a medical student you have the amazing opportunity to participate in national conferences, to meet delegates from all over the country whilst exploring current health topics through incredible speakers and breakout sessions.
Recently, I took part in Global Health Conference Melbourne and was able to hear from Nobel Peace Prize recipient Tilman Ruff about the threat of nuclear weapons on humanity which was truly inspirational."
What better way to learn about rural health than to experience it yourself? Some of our second year med students have done just that on a 2 week placement in Bairnsdale.
