Global citizenship is essential to research. Many of today’s most pressing challenges—such as climate change, public health, technological advancement, and social equity—transcend national borders. Engaging with a global perspective allows researchers to collaborate across disciplines, cultures, and geographical boundaries, leading to more innovative and impactful solutions.

Global Citizenship is a crucial skill developed during a graduate research degree, as researchers engage with diverse perspectives, international collaborations, and global challenges. Through conferences, cross-cultural teamwork, and engagement with worldwide research communities, graduate research candidates learn to navigate different cultural contexts, communicate across borders, and contribute to solutions with global impact. The Faculty's goal is to support the development of  a global mindset, preparing our graduates to work across disciplines, industries, and cultures, making meaningful contributions to society both locally and globally.
