David de Kretser and Lifetime Achievement Medals

The David de Kretser and Lifetime Achievement Medals were established by the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences in 2006. The medals acknowledge an individual’s contribution to the faculty, and medical science generally.

Named in honour of Professor David de Kretser, whose links with the Faculty date back to 1969 when he received his MD from Monash, the David de Kretser Medal is awarded annually to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to any area of the faculty’s operation over a significant period of their working life.

Our Lifetime Achievement Medal is presented each year to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution, both nationally and internationally, to human health and wellbeing.
