When contacting a potential supervisor, you should complete the Graduate Research Pre Application Eligibility Check form and attach your academic CV.
A well-prepared application starts before you open the form. Work through the

Find a supervisor
The Faculty requires you to identify and make contact with a potential supervisor before you apply. You can use Supervisor Connect to browse supervisors and research projects specific to Medicine, Nursing and
Health Sciences, or explore our research strengths and schools, departments and institutes to find the right fit.
When contacting a potential supervisor, you should complete the
Graduate Research Pre Application Eligibility Check and attach your academic CV.
All applicants must submit a brief research proposal with their application. You may like to prepare this in conjunction with your prospective supervisor.

Applications are submitted through the central My.App portal.
Before you begin, review the Application Submission Guide for a full list of required supporting documentation.
Once you submit your application it will be directed to your nominated supervisor and the Faculty for review. You will be contacted for an interview, your references checked and possibly for further information.
For admission-only applications, please allow four to six weeks for your
application to be processed. If your application is unsuccessful, you may
contact your school or academic unit directly for feedback.
