The Diabetes Research Unit is a premier centre for clinical, public health and health care improvement research in diabetes. A global leader in delivering investigator-led large-scale clinical studies/projects its research focus is on the generation and implementation of the best evidence for the prevention, screening and management of diabetes and its complications including heart disease, kidney disease and stroke. Research spans the biological, physiological and psychological and aims to identify and manage people at risk or living with diabetes whilst also exploring how to best tailor public health information, deliver health care/models of care and personalise treatments to promote a healthier longer life.
