Karina is Program Manager for Blood Synergy, an NHMRC-funded program addressing Australia’s national transfusion research priorities. She coordinates Blood Synergy activities and provides leadership, project, and strategic support to the investigator team. Karina’s background is in biomedical research, with a PhD in neurophysiology. She has more than 20 years of experience across a broad range of preclinical, multidisciplinary, and clinical studies, and prior to joining the Transfusion Research Unit was a Laboratory Head at the University of Melbourne, and Project Lead at the HEARing Cooperative Research Centre.
