The fees for living on-campus at Monash University vary depending on the type of accommodation.

The above rates are for 2026. Rates and contract periods for 2027 will be available from late October 2026. Additional costs may apply for room/studio cleaning upon departure.

The contract dates listed above and used by Monash University Accommodation are NOT the same as those used by Monash University and have absolutely no relation or bearing to the University's lecture and/or examination timetables.

Accommodation fee regulations

Invoicing

We'll email an invoice at the beginning of each month to your Monash email address. You’ll have to ensure that you pay the amount on the invoice by the end of that month. There are a number of different payment options (including online) - just remember to use the unique reference number that's displayed on your invoice.

If you're paying the fees on behalf of a resident, you'll need to organise for them to forward their invoice onto you. If you'd like to discuss their rental invoice with us, for privacy reasons, they'll need to submit a 'Release of Personal Details' form via the Resident Portal first.
