Dr Adrian Camm
Dr Adrian Camm is the Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Westbourne Grammar School and a Director of the School Board.
As a strategist and transformation expert, he holds a PhD from Deakin University, a Master in School Leadership from Monash University, and Bachelor of Applied Science and Computing from La Trobe University. Dr Camm is also an alumnus of the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has sat as a Director on not-for-profit Boards and is currently Chair of the Association of Co-Educational Schools (ACS).
Dr Camm has worked with schools and organisations around the world. He has presented his innovation for the future of learning to leading innovators and thinkers in business and industry including Dr Edward de Bono, Daniel Dennett and leading entrepreneur and innovator Raymond Kurzweil. He believes in harnessing the power of the collective to achieve extraordinary outcomes, and under his guidance, Westbourne Grammar School is navigating the most exciting era of growth in its almost 160-year history.
Dr Camm has been recognised with awards and acknowledgements from organisations including Google and the Australian Institute of Physics. He was named Australian School Principal of the Year at the 2025 Australian Education Awards and at the 31st National Excellence in Teaching Awards, Dr Camm was awarded for Outstanding Leadership across Australia and New Zealand. He received a Fellowship from the Australian Council of Educational Leaders in 2024 for Outstanding Leadership; was named Australian Leader of the Year in 2012 by the Australian Council for Computers in Education and the Australian Computer Society; was named Outstanding Secondary Teacher of the Year in 2010 at the Victorian Education Excellence Awards; and was awarded Best National Achievement - The Minister’s Award for Excellence in ICT at the Australian Awards for Teaching excellence in 2009.
A regular contributor to journals and publications, Dr Camm’s insights on leadership, learning and innovation have been profiled by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the British Broadcasting Corporation. He regularly features on The Educators Hotlist and for the last two years has been named one of Australia's most influential leaders and educators.
