Mr Simon Bird, a retail eCommerce professional and entrepreneur, stands at the intersection of academic excellence and real-world impact. Born and raised in Gardenvale in South Caulfield, his journey at Monash University has been a testament to the transformative power of education.

With a relentless pursuit of knowledge, Mr Bird earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Management) degree from Monash University, majoring in Marketing and Human Resources.

Mr Bird is a long-time retail and technology veteran, currently living in the UK, who has focused his international career on improving retail sales and margins while creating better customer experiences. He strongly believes that digital technology can help brands align the specific needs of their customers with their key business goals.

In 2017 he co-founded and became the Chief Executive Officer of RevLifter, which leverages proprietary shopper data and AI to deliver hyper-personalised offers that deliver significantly higher ROI than one-size-fits-all promotions. Over the last 6 years, RevLifter has become a multi million pound business, has expanded to several international markets, winning a number of global brands and claiming several eCommerce awards following an explosion in demand for tailored 1-2-1 promotions.

Before RevLifter, Mr Bird was the International General Manager for a leading deal technology company Savoo. He founded the UK operation and introduced it to 14 international markets before the business successfully exited to Cox Enterprises, a fortune 500 US company.

Mr Bird is also an investor and a board member for a broad variety of technology start-ups focused on digital commerce and a keen speaker within the eCommerce and performance marketing circles. He has shown his versatility by presenting on a range of topics all geared around helping retailers supercharge their online performance through innovative and sustainable means, including more recently the impact of AI.

Beyond the academic and business realms, Mr Bird has been a catalyst for positive change. From helping to establish and become a key member of the Monash Alumni Global Leaders' Network in the UK, to mentoring peers and establishing local community groups in the areas he has lived. He is consistently demonstrating commitment to community and global engagement.

In his personal time, Mr Bird loves spending time with his family, listening to music, golf and traveling, highlighting the importance of balance and personal growth. His journey serves as an inspiration, illustrating that with determination, one can navigate challenges and emerge stronger.
