As the founding director of The Sneaker Laundry, Eugene has revolutionised sneaker care in Australia, making the brand synonymous with quality and innovation. Since its establishment in 2017, The Sneaker Laundry has flourished under his leadership, achieving milestones like raising $900,000 at a $4 million valuation in 2022, gaining extensive media coverage, and expanding to eight stores across key global locations, including Melbourne, Sydney, Lebanon, Riyadh, Doha, Bangkok, and Peru. With over 45,000 sneakers cleaned and more than 120,000 sneaker care products sold across 47 countries, The Sneaker Laundry won "Melbourne's Startup of the Year" by Business News Australia in 2019.
Eugene’s entrepreneurial journey started with a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Commerce from Monash University in 2017, followed by Practical Legal Training at the College of Law in 2019. His legal background adds a strategic edge to his ventures, equipping him to manage business risks adeptly. While at Monash, Eugene also pursued his passion for music, touring internationally as a DJ across more than 100 venues in 10 countries, including the UAE, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar.
Beyond The Sneaker Laundry, Eugene has diversified his portfolio. He co-founded The Promenade Docklands, a premier 1400-square-meter waterfront venue that has hostedtop-tier clients like Amazon, Commbank, ANZ, Deloitte, KPMG, and Monash University. He also established No Sleep Entertainment, which produces boutique music festivals that draw over 20,000 patrons annually.
