Mr Daniel Rana

Mr Daniel Rana is an Executive Director in the Financial & Strategic Investors Group for Goldman Sachs Australia & New Zealand.

Mr Rana is a senior investment banking professional with over 15 years of global experience across Melbourne, Sydney and New York. His expertise and passion is supporting clients across mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate development, and investor relations strategy. Mr Rana’s focus is on originating, structuring and executing transactions across a wide range of industries, including consumer, retail, healthcare, industrials and financial sponsors. He is an experienced leader in building, managing and mentoring high-performing teams.

Prior to his current role, Mr Rana was Co-Head of Consumer, Retail and Healthcare for Credit Suisse Australia. He was responsible for significantly increasing active client coverage across ASX listed corporates, financial sponsors and privately owned companies by leveraging global networks, firm relationships and subject matter expertise in the Consumer & Retail domain.

Previously, Mr Rana was Director in the Global Consumer & Retail team at Credit Suisse in New York, where he was involved with landmark transactions for multi-national clients in the consumer & retail sector. Prior to that, he held various roles with Credit Suisse in Australia, where he started his career after graduation.

Mr Rana holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and Bachelor of Economics from Monash University. Mr Rana is a founding member of the newly established Industry Advisory Board for Monash Business School’s Department of Banking and Finance.
