Mr Kee Wong
Mr Kee Wong is an accomplished business leader, technologist, and Non-Executive Director whose career spans more than 40 years across engineering, technology, and enterprise transformation. He has held leadership positions in technology consulting and services businesses throughout Asia Pacific, partnering with Fortune 500 companies and government organisations across US, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. His work intersects deep technology expertise with strategic commercial insight, allowing him to guide organisations through digital transformation, scalable growth and innovation-led investment.
Over two decades, Mr Wong has been a founder, venture investor, board adviser and strategic partner to start-ups, scale-ups, growth companies and multinational firms. His advisory work has centred on the commercialisation of emerging technology - AI, IoT and sensor systems, cloud and big data, cybersecurity, and environment and energy. He has helped Australian and multinational companies, universities, and governments collaborate with global innovation hubs in Silicon Valley, Boston, Singapore, and other key Asian markets. Mr Wong helped Nomura Research Institute (NRI) establish their business in Australia through acquisition and organic growth and served on the NRI Australia Board until September 2025.
Mr Wong served on the Board of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) for seven years from 2017 to 2023 and continues to Chair the AICD Governance of Innovation and Technology Panel. He has also recently joined the advisory board of the Melbourne Business School Institute for Digital Innovation and AI.
Mr Wong currently serves on the boards of Car Group (formerly Carsales) globally, the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), the Australian Business Growth Fund (ABGF), the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI), and Deloitte Australia. His prior board portfolio includes NRI Australia, InvoCare Ltd, Breakthrough Victoria, the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Arts Centre Melbourne, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Federation Square Melbourne, Asialink, LaunchVic, and Council Member of The University of Melbourne and Victoria University - reflecting his breadth across corporate, education, government, and philanthropic mission-driven organisations.
Mr Wong holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma in Computing from the Chisholm Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the Monash Business School. He was appointed a Monash University Fellow in 2010 and received the Monash University Faculty of Information Distinguished Alumni Award in 2014.
A strong advocate for national progress, Mr Wong has championed Australia’s innovation capability, relationships with Asia, and investment in STEM education, arts, health and medical research. His long-standing commitment to philanthropy and community leadership continues to influence policy, diversity representation and industry development across the country.
