Ms Evelyn Yong

Ms Evelyn Yong is a Senior Wealth Advisor and Director of JBWere Ltd, Australia’s oldest investment management firm founded in Melbourne in 1840. Ms Yong commenced her advisory career in the Melbourne office of ANZ Private Bank before joining JBWere in 2011. Prior to her financial career, she worked in Brunei Darussalam as a Medical Scientist in Gleneagles Private Hospital, owned by the global healthcare group IHH Healthcare.

For over 16 years, Ms Yong has advised some of Australia’s wealthiest individuals, families and for purpose organisations on the sustainable stewardship of their financial resources. Her unique advice skillset extends beyond traditional portfolio construction and management. Ms Yong is adept in tax strategy, investment policy formulation, and design and implementation of Responsible Investment frameworks which help clients align their wealth with their values. Her passion for cultivating meaningful and enduring relationships has established her reputation as a trusted advisor in the industry.

Ms Yong served as a board member from 2016 to 2023 with the Australian Ballet on their Australian Ballet Ambassadors program - a global initiative engaging the next generation of philanthropists in the arts.

Ms Yong holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Pharmacology, and a Master of International Business from Monash University. She also holds a Specialist Certificate in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds from The University of Adelaide. Ms Yong is a passionate advocate for empowering women and girls through financial literacy. Her personal and career journey has forged her commitment towards closing the gender and diversity gap in corporate Australia.

Outside of her corporate life, Ms Yong is a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and dog mom to her two Cavalier King Charles Spaniel’s Jack Kennedy and Darcy. She is a strong supporter of animal welfare and arts and culture organisations, and a lover of all things fashion, food, music, travel, and yoga.
