Ms Grace Chong

Ms Grace Chong is a scientist, pharmacist proprietor, educator, and board executive, possessing over 27 years of experience across a range of healthcare and government sectors. With significant experience in forensic histopathology, she was appointed as the inaugural cytopathology scientist for Queensland Health in Townsville, and has worked within the Southern Health Care Hospital Network.

Currently, she serves as the Co-Director and Proprietor of Foote's Community Pharmacies and Foote's Packing Co, which operate along the east coast of Australia. Ms Chong is a practicing clinician and recently graduated with extended scope as a Prescribing Pharmacist Practitioner. She is dedicated to practicing in primary health care and is an educator in the Painwise program for chronic pain.

Ms Chong was previously Senior Vice President of the Pharmacy Guild of Victoria and is a dedicated advocate for equitable access to healthcare for all Australians. She actively engages with the Prime Minister and various ministers to address these critical issues. Furthermore, she was appointed to the Australian Community Pharmacy Authority by the Federal Minister of Health, where she continues to contribute her expertise.

An alumna of Monash University, Ms Chong graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2003. She also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in histopathology and cytopathology from RMIT University and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Driven by a profound commitment to mentoring emerging healthcare professionals, Ms Chong seeks to facilitate meaningful changes in patient care and enhance health literacy within the community. She firmly believes that impactful change occurs one patient and one student at a time.
