Carol Chew

Ms Carol Chew graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting) and Bachelor of Business Systems.

She continued her studies with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ) to attain her graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting.

She is currently studying for a Diploma of Professional Coaching with the Australian Institute of Professional Coaches.

She started her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers as the first intake into the graduate program in Tax Technology where she was able to combine both her degrees in the role; building software solutions for large organisations to manage their tax compliance.

Ms Chew still continues to combine her passion for accounting, in conjunction with developing SaaS products.

She is now a Senior Director of Product Management at Mediaocean managing the global Media Finance software, driving billions of dollars of ad spend on a yearly basis.

Ms Chew juggles complicated individual market needs within a single configurable platform which is currently deployed across 6 markets and growing, including the US and China; the world’s two biggest ad spend markets. She understands the balancing act of growing people and nurturing talent across the organisation while at the same time delivering high quality mission-critical product

Ms Chew has a passion for mentoring, and inspiring the success of individuals in their career and professional development. She in her fourth year as a volunteer for Monash University's Women in IT Mentoring Program. Within Mediaocean she continues this passion by mentoring the next generation of leaders, and participates in various global discussion panels on women in technology.

Keen to see increased female participation, not only in the technology industry but also on the competitive platform, Ms Chew has taken up the sport of powerlifting with Monash Powerlifting. Her dedication to training personifies her dedication to her career. As a mother to three daughters, Ms Chew hopes that her motivation for diversity and inclusion will carry over to the next generation of women.
